Sarah Jane is a graduate of UL with a BA in Public Administration (’10) and MA in European Integration (’12)
Sarah Jane served as UL PSU President (’11-12) and spent 2 years as a research assistant in the Graduate Entry Medical School. She spent 4 years working in the community & voluntary sector in Limerick City, working as manager of MyMind, Community development officer & Refugee Resettlement officer with PAUL Partnership & Youth Outreach Worker with Southill Outreach.
Sarah Jane has extensive voluntary experience serving as director in both Limerick Mental Health Association and Garryowen Community Development Project and as a member of the University of Limerick’s Governing Authority. She has been involved in many local initiatives such as Limerick Mental Health Week, The Limerick Spring and Pay it Forward Limerick.
Having worked extensively with marginalised & at-risk groups, Sarah Jane is trained in reflective practice, ASIST, self-harm, working with victims of violence and sexual trauma, intercultural awareness in social care settings and para-counselling. Additional training includes certificates in volunteer management and advanced media skills.
