Gender Culture and Society is a key focus of the Department of Sociology, representing an interdisciplinary field of study involving sociology and several other disciplines in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. It offers challenging courses addressing the intersections of gender, ‘race’, class, age, ability and sexuality in society, popular culture, literature, history and politics:
The Department is a partner in the multi-institution Gender Arc network.
The Gender Culture and Society section is led by Dr Breda Gray.
