PhD Writers' Week June '22 Applications now open!

This year’s PhD Writers’ Week took place from the 13th-17th of June 2022. The Regional Writing Centre, UL, met online with 7 PhD students over the week:

4th Year  Atif Atif (CSIS)

3rd Year Bilal Majeed (CSIS)

3rd Year Ines Bouteldj (Arts and Humanities)

2nd Year Jill Pitcher Farrell (Biological Sciences)

4th Year Michelle Daly (School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics, Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences )

3rd Year El/len Reid (they/them) (Sociology)

2nd Year Saoirse Enright (Law)

The students met each morning from 9am to 1 pm online. Their sessions included writing, discussing what they can do better and receiving advice on their way of writing. During the week, the students each met with a peer tutor one on one to discuss their personal strategies of writing and receive advice specific to their work. The students made great improvement in how they balance their schedules while still completing a PhD. We are very of the work they accomplished throughout the week.
