Our shortlisted candidates are now eagerly awaiting the awards ceremony for this year's National Secondary School Essay-Writing Competition.
The overall winner, as well as the two runners-up, will be announced at a special ceremony in the University of Limerick at 1pm on Thursday, 17th May 2018.
The candidates, along with their families, friends, English teachers, principals, and guidance counselors, will be in attendance. Refreshments will be provided on the day. UL President Professor Desmond Fitzgerald will be present to greet the students and announce the overall winner. The overall winner of the National Secondary School Essay-Writing Competition will receive an Android tablet, while the two runners up will receive a €100 One4All voucher. Each shortlisted candidate will also receive a certificate of merit, and will be welcomed on a guided tour of the UL campus.
