Newstalk’s The Tom Dunne show was broadcast live from the University of Limerick on Friday 16th September 2011 to celebrate the launch of the book Morrissey: Fandom, Representations and Identities edited by UL Faculty Dr Eoin Devereux, Aileen Dillane and Martin J Power. Published by Intellect Books, the publication examines in detail, the work of one of the most influential songwriters of our time. Guests included Noel Hogan, guitarist and songwriter with The Cranberries; Peter Finan of Morrissey-Solo.com and music from the Morrissey Tribute band These Charming Men. The programme also featured several items about the University of Limerick and forthcoming events in the Limerick area. The programme was followed by the official launch of the book in Dolan’s Warehouse later that evening.
