Public lecture by Marian Harkin MEP

Next Friday, 1 March, Marian Harkin MEP will give a talk on Brexit and other issues currently discussed in the European Parliament.




Marian Harkin has been a Member of the European Parliament since 2004, since 2014 representing the Ireland Midlands-North-West Constituency as an Independent. She is a member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Group (ALDE) in the European Parliament and a member of the European Parliament's Committee on Employment and Social Affairs. Her legislative work has included the EU Globalisation Fund where she was Parliament chief negotiator. In her last term in the European Parliament as a member of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee she worked on the Common Agriculture Policy and the Rural Development Programme.


Her Presentation will be followed by a Questions & Answers session


It will take place at 2pm in A1055 and is open to all UL staff and students.
