Dr Eckhard Lübkemeier
“Europe and the World: Standing up to Trump, Xi and Putin”
Dr Eckhard Lübkemeier is a retired diplomat and currently Visiting Fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), Berlin. He served as German Ambassador to Ireland 2011-2014. From 2003–2006 he was Deputy Director-General of the Department of European Affairs at the Federal Chancellery. He also comments regularly on international and EU affairs in German national newspapers.
Everybody is welcome.
The lecture is organized in co-operation with Centre for Irish-German Studies.
Dr Lübkemeier will also participate in the International Colloquium: On the Role of Bilateral Diplomatic Relations to mark the 90th anniversary of the establishment of Irish-German diplomatic relations on Thursday, 14 November 2019, 3pm in the Appellate Court Room, Glucksman Library.
