Dr. Susan Leahy attended the Women’s Legal Landmarks Workshop at the University of Bristol on April 16th and 17th. She presented her research on the abolition of the marital rape exemption in Irish law (section 5 of the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act 1990). This landmark will be published as a chapter in the Women’s Legal Landmarks edited collection which will be published by Hart in 2017. The collection is edited by Professor Rosemary Auchmuty and Professor Ericka Rackley.
