Visit to Henry Street Garda Station and Templemore College
Dean Strang visited both Henry Street Garda Station and locations across the city in addition to attending the Garda College, Templemore. Organised by Sergeant Andrew Lacy, he spoke with police officers and engaged in discussions around investigative practices, interviewing of the vulnerable (Garda Model v Reid Model), poverty and crime and contrasting models of policing in respect to Ireland and the US. The audience of over 400 included Child Specialist Interviewers, various Level Trained Interviewers, Senior Investigating Officers (SIO's), Civilian staff, Garda Trainees, Norwegian Police Officers on exchange programme, GSOC, Revenue and Garda College Instructors.
