The School of Law and the Centre for Crime, Justice and Victim Studies were delighted to host the launch of ‘The Victim in the Irish Criminal Process’ on Thursday, May 9th. The book is authored by School of Law and CCJVS members Professor Shane Kilcommins, Dr Susan Leahy and Dr Eimear Spain with their colleague Dr Kathleen Moore-Walsh (WIT) and was published in March by Manchester University Press. It traces the development of the rights of victims of crime in Ireland. The book was launched by Professor Helen Kelly-Holmes, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. The launch was attended by friends and colleagues of the authors, as well as Adjunct Professor Ellen O’Malley Dunlop who provided the foreword for the book.
