The UL School of Law Secondary School Essay Competition prize giving took place on Wednesday 1st June in the Millstream Common Room. Students were presented with certificates in recognition of the high standard and quality of their essays. Essay titles included: ‘should the law punish hate crimes more harshly than ‘ordinary’ crimes?’, ‘should boxing be declared illegal under the non-fatal offences against the person act 1997?’ and ‘is law necessary in contemporary society?’
