Students Blog: Day 4
We began the day by going to the mooting courtroom with lecturer and solicitor Sarah Crowley. She presented a power point to us on what must be done to become a solicitor or barrister. Next, we attended her lecture on sports and the law. It was very interesting as we didn’t realise that the law is actually a very big part of sport. After lunch, we then met with four girls who are in their second year of studying law. They showed us around the campus and told us about what college life is like here in UL. They were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our time with the girls as it gave us an insight into how great life here at UL really is. We were then lucky enough to go and watch the mooting competition. It was sponsored by one of the top law firms in Ireland, A&L Goodbody. It was judged by esteemed Circuit Court Judge Tom O’Donnell. We all really enjoyed the mooting competition and the day overall.
