We have asked our students to compile a daily blog on their activities: Here's their entry for Monday 1st February - Day 1:

On Monday 1st February, we started our Transition Year work experience in the UL School of Law.

In the morning, we were greeted by Carol Huguet and her colleague Laura Donnellan. They gave us an introductory talk and briefed us on the week ahead, which sounded very interesting and exciting. We then spoke to the Head of the School of Law, Professor Shane Kilcommins, who gave us an insight on what it is like to study Law. Carol organised an orienteering activity for us. This was very fun and beneficial as we took selfies with staff members, statues and wildlife and found lots of lecture halls and classrooms while navigating our way around the campus. After lunch, we attended a lecture on Constitutional Law given by Norah Burns. We learned about fundamental rights which was very interesting. We spoke to Hope Davidson who told us about the Constitution and court cases and she gave us a tour of the Glucksman Library. We had a very enjoyable and interesting day and we are looking forward to the week ahead.
