On June 16th, the Centre for Crime, Justice and Victims' Rights hosted a one-day symposium on Victims' Rights. Participants on the day included: Professor Jonathan Doak (Nottingham-Trent University); Professor Matthew Hall (Lincoln University); Professor Liz Heffernan (Trinity College Dublin); Professor Shane Kilcommins (UL); Dr Luke Moffett (Queen's University, Belfast); Dr Eimear Spain (UL); Dr Susan Leahy (UL); Dr Johnny Connolly (UL) and; Mr Alan Cusack (University College Cork). The event was chaired by Ms Ellen O'Malley-Dunlop, Adjunct Professor, School of Law, University of Limerick. The contributions to this symposium will appear in a special edition of the Northern Ireland Legal Quarterly which will focus on victims' rights and will be published in the autumn. The symposium was organised by Dr Susan Leahy. Dr Leahy is also the editor of the forthcoming special edition of the NILQ.
