On the 10th of November Dr Sean Redmond Adjunct Professor of Youth Justice was an invited speaker at the Solas Project’s Justice Team launch in Boston College Dublin. This launch was an opportunity for Solas Project to highlight their work supporting young people who have become involved in criminal activity. The Solas project consists of several programmes staffed by a multi-disciplinary team. Programmes not only provides opportunities for the young people to develop relevant skills, they also engages with young people in detention and maintain long term mentoring programmes on release. Solas newest initiative ‘Rua’ works with young people previously considered unsuitable for Diversion or who have refused to engage with existing Diversion programmes.
