Jack Nicholas BL spoke to law students yesterday as part of a mooting workshop organised by the School of Law, in conjunction with the UL Law Society. Mr Nicholas spoke about the process of qualifying as a barrister and life at the Bar in Ireland.
A second mooting workshop will take place on Tuesday 8 November from 6-7pm in BM015. This workshop will focus on advocacy skills and will include presentations by Orla Donovan of Holmes O’Malley Sexton Solicitors and Dr Lydia Bracken of the School of Law. This workshop will be of benefit to law students engaging in mooting as part of their course modules, those interesting in entering upcoming mooting competitions and for all of those wishing to pursue a career in the legal profession.
