Professor Shane Kilcommins and his wife, Maria, recently received an ambassadorial award on behalf of staff in Law School from the Shannon Convention/Bord Failte. The award was for a number of 
high profile events and international conferences that were organised in the Law School over the past year, particularly in the areas of comparative law (Dr Sean Donlan) and research methodologies (Laura Donnellan and Jennifer Schweppe). The award ceremony was held in Knappogue Castle , Quin Co Clare on Friday 18th April, 2015.
