School of Law and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics Talk

UL’s School of Law and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics (MACSI) forged links on Tuesday April 14. Michelle Stevenson, whose research focus is the effects of DNA evidence on theSchool of Law presumption of innocence, gave a talk on the challenges of statistical interpretation posed by DNA evidence to the courts.  MACSI is a research cluster based in UL that focuses on the application of mathematics to real world problems (www.macsi.ul.ie).
