On Tuesday the 4th of October Ruth Hunter, Partner and Head of the Entertainment Unit in Matheson gave a guest lecture on Copyright in Film and Television. Over sixty Law, Journalism, New Media and English and international students in the Media Law module attended the guest lecture in the Moot Court room in UL. Ruth discussed the issues surrounding copyright and copyright clearance. She also discussed the work of the Entertainment Unit and talked the students through examples of the work she has undertaken on high profile film and television series. Ruth also talked the students through official co-production between two treaty jurisdictions and through the process of organising European animation co-production produced in three European countries and part funded from Canada. The talk was organised by Norah Burns of the School of Law.
