Mary Curtin, 2nd Year Law and Accounting, describes her Summer Internship with Nelson Life :
“During Summer 2016 I was privileged to have the opportunity to work for Nelson Life in Galway who principally provides the service of financial planning and advice on pensions and investments.
My role was to provide administrative support to the firm's principals, meeting preparation, client investment reports and planning needs, accounts, recording expenses and reconciling payments and updating client database.
It was a fantastic opportunity as I was able to put the theory what I have learned in my course into practice. As I resume my studies I have a new understanding which allows me to relate to different aspects of my modules to an actual business environment."
