“Geraldine Carr, a graduate of Law and Accounting in 2006, has been appointed to Partner in the Employment Group in Matheson. Geraldine advises employers across Ireland on all aspects of the employment relationship, both contentious and non-contentious, from recruitment to termination of employment, workplace investigations, the employment issues arising in the context of corporate restructurings, outsourcings and individual and collective redundancy situations. She recently completed a secondment to Matheson’s offices in San Francisco and Palo Alto, where she spent six months advising international companies establishing operations and doing business in Ireland on their Irish employment law needs.
Geraldine has published articles and regularly speaks at conferences both in Ireland and abroad on Irish employment law issues. She is an active committee member of the Law Society’s Employment and Equality Law committee and the Employment Law Association of Ireland (ELAI). She tutors trainee solicitors on employment law as part of the Law Society’s Professional Practice course.
She was recognised as an “excellent” associate by European Legal 500 2018.”
