Labour Law Conference
A conference on Labour Law in the 21st Century was recently held at the University of Limerick. It dealt with the increasing challenges facing employees and employers since the financial crisis. The attending international panel of experts came from Ireland, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Germany and the USA was matched by the international list of those attending, which included not only lawyers but business people, HR specialists, and academics investigating the new employment paradigm. The conference, which was organised by Ray Friel, was closed by former Chief Justice Ronan Keane who welcomed the conference’s contribution to this important field.
