The Juris Diversitas Annual Conference (2015) was held at the University last week from 2-4 June. Organised by Dr Seán Patrick Donlan and hosted by the School of Law, it brought together over forty speakers from around the Seanworld to discuss the relationship between social and legal norms and institutions in comparative perspective.
The conference was held in memory of Roderick A Macdonald (1948-2014) and H Patrick Glenn (1940-2014), both former members of the Juris Diversitas Advisory Council. Plenary speakers include Katharina Boele-Woelki (Utrecht), President of the International Academy of Comparative Law, and Brian Tamanaha (Washington - St Louis).
In addition, the conference saw the formal launch of the Juris Diversitas Book Series.
