Last Friday 22nd October, the School of Law was delighted to host an event, along with the School of Law NUIG and the Irish Council for Civil Liberties, on Judicial Conduct.
Over 70 national and international academics, practitioners, judges, members of government departments and civil society organisations attended and contributed to the seminar. Further information and a full list of speakers is available here: https://www.ul.ie/artsoc/news-centre/events/seminar-judicial-conductand
The pre-recorded presentations will be made available online shortly.
The event, organised by Dr Laura Cahillane and Dr Rónán Kennedy is part of a larger project focusing on the recently established Judicial Council and is funded by the Irish Research Council. An earlier event was held in September which focused on Judicial Education and Training. A report will shortly be published based on research from the project and a special edition of the Irish Judicial Studies Journal, based on papers given at both events, will be produced in early 2022.
