From 5 to 10 November a delegation from the Faculty of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences undertook a visit to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi to participate in a series of events that included an Irish Studies Lecture Series and the signing of an Agreement of Cooperation. The delegation included Dr Ciara Breathnach, who coordinated activities, Dr Máiréad Moriarty, Professor Shane Kilcommins and Professor Anthony McElligott. The visit included meetings with Brian McElduff, the Irish ambassador to India, Peter McIvor, Deputy Head of Mission, Irish Embassy, India; Professor M. Jagadesh Kumar, Vice Chancellor; JNU, Prof. Girish Nath Jha, Director International Collaboration, JNU; and Professor Jyoti Atwal, lecturer in the History Department, JNU.
