On Wednesday, June 21st, the School of Law at the University of Limerick and the Community Law and Mediation (CLM) launched ‘Housing Law and Policy Online’. The new module, which will be available online this September, was introduced in response to the ever more serious demand for housing in Ireland and the increasing attention and controversy that it is drawing at both a national and international level.
Speaking at the launch, Ms Rose Wall, CEO of Community Law and Mediation said ‘CLM are delighted to be collaborating with UL on this exciting project. Housing Law is such an important subject, particularly in the context of the current crisis. We hope that the course will empower those attending with knowledge of their rights and how to enforce them. It is particularly exciting to see this course being run online making it accessible to as many people as possible.’ Professor Shane Kilcommins, Head of the School of Law, added: ‘The School of Law is delighted to be teaming up with CLM in delivering this much needed module.
