Dr John Lombard and Dr Hope Davidson have organised an upcoming seminar titled ‘Healthcare Decision-Making and the Law’. It will take place on Thursday 3rd October from 14.00 – 16.30 and will be held in the Analog Devices Building AD2-010 in the University of Limerick.
The event will explore clinical and legal issues in healthcare decision-making in Ireland. It will concentrate on concepts of capacity and consent, with special attention paid to the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015. The event will feature speakers from the Health Service Executive, the School of Medicine NUIG, and the School of Law University of Limerick.
The event will be of interest to solicitors, barristers, healthcare professionals, members of the public with an interest in the area, and organisations concerned with the rights of vulnerable adults and older people.
