The Graduation of Community Learners in the Law of Evidence

In a combined initiative between the School of Law, Continuing and Professional Education, and Access Campus, UL ran a stand alone 6 credit Law of Evidence module online last semester. The module was run as a pilot and it went live at 4:00pm on Monday 1st February, 2016. It received a full compliment of cpd points from the Law Society of Ireland. The module ran over 12 weeks on a Moodle – Online Learning platform. Thirty four students signed up for the course from all over the country. They included members of An Garda Siochana, solicitors, members of the naval service, mature students and five community based learners. The community learners graduated on Friday 29th of July in a ceremony held in Plassey House. The graduating students are  Brenda Clarke, Marian Dineen, Davinia Dunne, Patricia Ronan, and Claire Sadlier.
