Gender and Law Conference
Dr Susan Leahy presented her research on rape trials and participated in a panel discussion at the Law and Gender conference at NUI Maynooth on September 13th. The event was organised by Dr Lynsey Black and Dr Peter Dunne to launch their edited collection, 'Gender and the Law in Modern Ireland: Critique and Reform', which was published by Hart Publishing this year. Dr Leahy contributed a chapter to this book entitled 'Sexual Offences Law in Ireland: Countering Gendered Stereotypes in Adjudications of Consent in Rape Trials'.
