‘The Student Law Society will hold a ‘First Year Week’ in Week 3. The event is targeted at first year Law Plus, Law and Accounting and BA(Criminal Justice) students. The week commences with an information night which will be attended by Dr. John Lombard (Law Plus Course Director for First and Second Years); Dr. Kathryn O’Sullivan (Law School Representative for Law & Accounting) and Dr. Susan Leahy (Course Director BA(Criminal Justice). The course directors will provide some information on study tips and elective choices, as well as answering any queries which students might have about their programmes. The Student Law Society have also organised a number of social gatherings which should help first years to settle in and get to know each other. Students who are interested in the ‘First Year Week’ should contact the Student Law Society for further information.’
