Exploring the Potential for Relational Policy for Youth Justice in Ireland

The Centre for Crime, Justice and Victim Studies hosted an event held in the Appellate court in the Glucksman Library on Monday 4th of March. Dr Susan Leahy, Director of CCJVS opened the event which took the form of a podcast interview with audience participation. Dr Michael Little, Director of RATIO talked to Adj. Prof Sean Redmond, REPPP Project, School of Law about governance in the context of relational social policy, and how disrupting negative patterns of social connection can reduce gang crime. Special guests Stephen Coughlan, MST Therapist, EXTERN; Andy O’Byrne, Corpus Christi Youth Diversion Programme, and Seamus O’Neill, JLO Sergeant, An Garda Síochána also contributed to the podcast, talking about the role of relationships in their work.
