Contemporary Issues in Employment Law

05.04.2016
Employment Law

On Monday April 4th, students on the Contemporary Issues in Employment project presented the results of their research to staff from the Citizen’s Information Service. The students presented on a wide range of areas, including the new Workplace Relations Commission, the right to practice one’s religion in the workplace and an employer’s authority to monitor an employee’s electronic correspondence. Staff from the Citizens Information Service noted the relevancy of the students’ research and, in an interactive session, enjoyed discussing the issues with the students. All of the students were from the 4th year Law Plus programme who were involved in the project as part of their Advanced Lawyering module.

The event was co-organised by Eddie Keane, School of Law, and Marion Browne, Manager of the Limerick Citizens Information Service.
