Network Printing - Connecting

New Cantec MFP Service

Existing Network Print Service

Each department will have a number of network printers.  There are three print servers on the UL

Network: Trialprint, Castaldi1, Castaldi2.

To connect to your network printer: click on the Windows icon on your desktop | in the text box, type the name of the printer (e.g \\trialprint\Business01) and press return. 

If you have been assigned a local printer, please log a call with ITD to have it installed log an ITD Call.

 

From January 2020, staff can avail of a new online print shop at https://print-it.ul.ie. Products available

include, booklets, brochures, large format (A2 to A0), and roll-up banners. Graphic design services is also available on request. A user guide for the online print shop is available here.

Print Request Submissions

Staff of the University, who wish to have documents printed, bound etc. should submit a request via the Print-IT online shop at https://print-it.ul.ie. Documents should be in PDF format and print ready before uploading. A cost estimate is provided automatically for all online requests. Alternatively, staff can submit a request via the Print Room (E1-005) where a Job Requirement folder should be completed with all job details. A relevant approved University Cost code is mandatory for submission of all jobs.

Student Lecture Notes

Print-IT will print lecture notes that staff wants students to purchase. The student lecture notes will be printed and bound and then sold directly to students at no cost to the staff member or department concerned. Students are charged a fixed price per page. Unsold copies of notes will be charged to the relevant department after a reasonable period.
