UL Staff email is hosted in Microsoft Office 365. In line with UL Security Polices, ITD support the following clients for accessing email.
UL Owned Devices: Microsoft Office 365
Non UL Owned Device: Web Browser https://Portal.Office.Com
UL Owned Mobile Phones: Microsoft Outlook Application
Non UL Owned Phones: WEB Browser https://Portal.Office.Com
We recommend checking our spam filtering service on a regular basis to ensure that valid messages are not being flagged as SPAM. (https://marshal5.ul.ie/spamconsole)
Users should note that Microsoft 365 has a maximum limit of 1,000 recipients per email message. This limit does not impact distribution lists
Please ensure you are familiar with the University of Limerick Acceptable Usage Policy and University of Limerick IT Security Policy.
To enhance security, ITD have disabled both IMAP and POP. Auto forwarding from UL accounts is also disabled.
Adding a second account to your email profile
Suspect Spam: The email contains spam traits and has been marked as spam. This folder may contain genuine emails which you can release via the email digest or via the web interface. Emails in this folder will be deleted in 21 days.
Explicit Spam: The email is more than likely spam. Be very careful before releasing an email from this folder. You can only release email from this folder via the web interface. Emails in this folder will be deleted in 10 days.
