Open a web browser and go to https://portal.office.com, and login using your UL email address (<student number>@studentmail.ul.ie) and your computer account password, or alternatively click on the “My Mail" link in portal (default student web at log on).

As part of the ongoing strategic investment in the University of Limerick IT infrastructure and systems, Information Technology Division (ITD) have initiated a number of projects to enhance the University Microsoft Office environment. One of the projects involved setting up a new single Microsoft 365 environment under which all student and staff Microsoft services (e.g. Email, OneDrive for Business and Teams) will reside. This will facilitate greater collaboration and information sharing between students and staff (e.g. via Teams, OneDrive for Business etc.) while also allowing for enhanced security features to protect user data to be rolled out at a later date.
If need to access your old Emails or OneDrive data, please go to https://ul.topdesk.net/, select ‘IT Services’ tile, and finally the ‘Student move to new Office 365’, and here you find instructions on how to access your old content. Note, access to this content will be disabled over the coming months. ITD will send an email to you in advance of making this change.
