The Journal

History Studies is the only history journal in Ireland that is edited and managed by postgraduate students and provides a publishing platform for both undergraduate and postgraduate scholars. It is refereed by a panel of distinguished historians and is an established periodical in the field of historical scholarship.

Established in 1999, History Studies has appeared nearly annually since then. Since 2012 the Journal has appeared in both print and digital form. This website provides free access to past volumes (see dedicated volume tab), where potential applicants can view the high standard of submissions received every year by History Studies.

In addition, the journal is launched every year in the University of Limerick.
