Perception of Emotions in Therapeutic Practice

On Thursday, 20th October a cross-disciplinary conversation exploring the perception of emotions in therapeutic practice took place between Dr Patrick Ryan, Director of the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology and the Head of the Department of Education and Professional Studies and Professor Jane Edwards, Director of the Music & Health Research Group at the University of Limerick. Dr. Ryan and Prof. Edwards shared their experiences and perspective on how emotions are perceived in therapeutic practice. The conversation focused on how therapists work with their clients and how they perceive the role of emotions within therapy practice.
