What is DARE
The University of Limerick is part of the Disability Access Route to Education (DARE) scheme. DARE is a third level alternative admissions scheme for school-leavers whose disabilities have had a negative impact on their second-level education.
DARE offers reduced points places to school leavers who, as a result of having a disability, have experienced additional educational challenges in second-level education.
DARE Information sessions 2020
Disability Support Services at the University of Limerick will run two online DARE application information sessions in November 2020. These sessions can help students, parents, teachers and guidance counsellors with the application process.
The sessions will include information on the application process, deadlines and information on documentation. There will also be time for questions and answers.

Both sessions will contain the same information, so you only need to attend one of the sessions.

DARE Information
DARE is for school leavers with a disability under the age of 23 as of January 1st 2021, who have been educationally impacted as a result of that disability.
Applicants to DARE can present with an Irish Leaving Certificate, A-Levels and other EU qualifications.
Mature students and students applying on the basis of Further Education and Training (FET) results have different admission routes. You can get further information on these routes from college and university websites.
