The Irish Third Level Institutions Energy Solutions Conference was held on Friday, May 8th in the University of Limerick. The conference was addressed by Dr Martin Leahy, Director of CPI, Prof Noel Buckley (President of the Electrochemical Society),Vincent Cunnane (Shannon Development), Tony O' Carroll (ESB Program Manager for Sustainability), Prof Derek Pletcher (University of Southampton)and Prof Fionn Murtagh (Director, Information, Communications & Emergent Technologies, Science Foundation Ireland)

The conference focused on - energy & jobs, Nanoscale manipulation of solar energy, Renewable energy resource, Energy & Emissions Balance measurement, Ocean Energy Monitoring, Modelling and Devices and Combustion-Fuels for Transport/Energy Generation.
