Professor Toshko Zhelev has succeeded to secure a contract for one year for €250,000 under the Enterprise Ireland/IDA industry led Competence centres award. His application entitled Industrial Energy Efficiency Improvement through Low Grade Heat Utilisation (Sys2E2I) is part of the new industry led Energy efficiency competence centre known as I2E2.
This is a great achievement, which opens perspective for further interesting links to Irish industry. The team led by Prof Toshko Zhelev include Prof Åke Rasmuson, Dr Witold Kwapinsky, Dr Con Sheahan and Dr Hassan Kaghazchi. Also Professor Toshko Zhelev received an honorary appointment as Extraordinary Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Pretoria, which acknowledges his involvement in energy related research and education (including corporate education) in South Africa.
