Dr. Sorcha de Brún, lecturer in Irish from the School of English, Irish, and Communication, had an article published in The Irish Times this week.
The article discusses questions surrounding both populism and community in Europe and the United States, and then goes on to look at the seminal novel Cré na Cille by Máirtín Ó Cadhain, arguing that Ó Cadhain’s novel questions notions of community.
