The Access to University Course is a full-time 13 week programme for young people who come from socio-economic backgrounds that are under-represented in Higher Education. The Course runs throughout the University of Limerick’s Spring Semester. THERE IS NO COURSE FEE. Even better, the Access Office will provide you with some financial and personal supports throughout your studies.
The Access to University Course will provide you with opportunities to develop or refresh the key academic and social skills necessary to help you to succeed in achieving an undergraduate degree in UL. As part of the course you will also study a module from the degree that you intend to start in the Autumn. An exemption in this module (if applicable) may be granted to you towards your degree.

All required supporting documentation must be submitted no later than Friday 6th November 2020

The course is for people who are under the age of 23 years as of 1st January 2021, and who are not already studying at a University or IT.
Eligibility is based on the indicators set out in the Higher Education Access Route (HEAR).

If you do not already have HEAR eligibility, you may submit documentation as part of your application (details of the required documentation on the Application Form).

Applicants may also print the application form, handwrite and then scan the completed application form, as well as the supporting documentation, and return by email to email@example.com.
Alternatively, if you do not have access to a scanner, you can take a clear photograph of the documentation, upload and email this to support your application.
