Sam Kingston graduated from the University of Limerick in 2014 with a first-class honours BSc (Ed) in Physics and Chemistry. In 2015, he graduated with a first-class honours MSc in Applied Physics. His MSc thesis was based on the synthesis and characterization of magnetic nanostructured materials. He started his PhD studies in 2015, and is currently funded by the Irish Research Council and Analog Devices, Inc. as part of the Enterprise Partnership Scheme. His research is focused on the development of novel nanostructured magnetic materials via electroless deposition for application in integrated circuits. Sam enjoys playing rugby, surfing and mountain biking in his free time.
