European Study Group with Industry 128 

‚ÄčThe MACSI organising committee would like to welcome you to the University of Limerick for the 128th European Study Group with Industry. 

A study group is a week-long intensive problem-solving event that brings the wide ranging expertise of mathematical scientists together in a collaborative effort to solve real problems experienced by industrialists. 

Following the industry presentations and discussions on Monday 12th of June, there will be intensive working sessions throughout the week with presentations of recommendations on the Friday morning. A report of progress on each problem will be provided to the companies involved after the meeting.

Guest Lecture

We are delighted to announce that Dr Jaqueline Christmas, University of Exeter, will give a guest lecture on Wednesday 14th June 2017. Title of Lecture 'Improving Safety at Sea by Measuring and Predicting Sea Waves'

ESGI128 participants are coming from all over the world to Limerick to participate in this year's event!

 

NUI Galway are hosting a  four-day modelling workshop the week before ESGI128 from Tues June 6th to Fri 9th supported by the MINET Cost Action. This training workshop is primarily aimed at postgraduate and early career researchers with a scientific or engineering background.  Participants will take part in team-based modelling of real-world, industry-driven problems.  More information and registration available here.
