The Information Technology Division is the central IT services function at UL. We are responsible for supporting, maintaining and developing the information and communications technology of the University as set out in the University's strategic plan UL@50. For further information on information technology and digital transformation within the University, please review our UL Enable IT Strategy. 

Our customers comprise all members of the UL community, including staff, students, faculty, support departments and researchers. This guide is designed to introduce the key IT services available and help you get started using IT at UL. In addition, staff are also encouraged to follow us on Twitter and Instagram for the latest news and updates. Getting Connected

Your digital user account is automatically provided. All staff receive an email to their personal email address with account details on their employment date. 

As part of the login process, all staff must register for Self-Service Password Reset and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). See more information under the Password Management tile. 

Full details on how to access HR, Finance & SI systems can be found on the Self-Service Portal (ul.topdesk.net) by clicking IT Services for Staff → University Systems

* If you are accessing these applications from outside the UL network you must connect through the SSL-VPN client—Self-Service Portal → IT Services for Staff → Blended/Hybrid Working → Remote Access

Staff resources and applications such as Agresso, Core HR and many more are readily available via the UL Connect App Launcher.

Account Security

A range of IT security measures are in place to ensure your account and data remains secure. Additional information around IT Security is also available on the Self-Service Portal (TOPdesk)
