OneDrive Project

The new University of Limerick Office 365 environment was enabled on Monday October 21st. With the exception of a small number of complex accounts, all user data has been migrated to the new environment. It is essential that users are now connected to the new Microsoft environment.

Is my OneDrive Client synchronising to the new Microsoft environment?
Users should follow the attached guide to verify that their OneDrive account is synchronising to the new Microsoft environment.

My OneDrive account is still connected to the old environment, how do I connect to the new environment?
Users accessing OneDrive through the OneDrive client on a laptop / desktop.
Users must “Unlink” their OneDrive account from the old environment and connect it to the new environment. Please follow the instructions below.

How do I check if my OneDrive client has sync errors?

  • Your OneDrive client may have synchronisation errors which can cause data loss. Please follow the attached guide check if you have synchronisation issues. (see attached guide)

After the migration you will be required to Sign Out and then Sign In using your UL user account. See detailed instructions below.

If after completing the above instructions and you still cannot connect, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the OneDrive application. If you have any queries on your account please log a call on ITD’s Call Management System (TOPdesk - https://ul.topdesk.net )

Am I using the correct version of OneDrive?
Users accessing OneDrive through the OneDrive client on a laptop / desktop should upgrade to the latest OneDrive Version (V19).  Check your current installed OneDrive Version for Windows and Mac devices (see attached guide)
