Skype for Business Users

The new University of Limerick Office 365 environment was enabled on Monday October 21st. The migration has had minimal impact on Skype for Business Users.

To maintain connectivity users should already have signed out and resigned in to Skype for Business. Please ensure to select “Delete my sign-in info” option before signing in.

If you have any queries on your account please log a call on ITD’s Call Management System (TOPdesk - https://ul.topdesk.net ). Click on the ‘Office 365’ menu, select the appropriate option on the right hand menu and complete the online form.

Clearing Skype for Business Cache in Windows

  1. Log out of Skype for Business
  2. Delete any sign-in information
  3. Exit Skype for Business
  4. Navigate to Users > [Your Username] > AppData > Local > Microsoft > Office > 15.0 (version number may change)> Lync
  5. Delete the sip_profileName folder
  6. Delete all files in Tracing folder - Do not delete the folder itself
  1. Log out of and quit Skype for Business
  2. Go to Finder
  3. Press Command+Shift+G or click Go > Go to Folder
  4. Type ~/library and press Return
  5. Delete the following bold files:
    1. Containers > com.microsoft.SkypeForBusiness
    2. Internet Plug-Ins > MeetingJoinPlugin.plugin
    3. Logs > LwaTracing
    4. Saved Application State > com.microsoft.SkypeForBusiness.savedState
    5. Preferences > com.microsoft.skypeforbusiness.plugin.plist
  6.  Open Keychain Access from the /Applications/Utilities folder
  7. Delete all keychains starting with Skype for Business
