COOP STUDENT VETTING REQUIREMENT 2017
In accordance with the National Vetting Bureau (Children & Vulnerable Persons) Acts 2012-2016 and UL’s Student Vetting Policy, there is a statutory requirement for all students on programmes that include a placement involving work with children or vulnerable adults to be vetted.
As a student offered a COOP placement involving children or vulnerable adults, you should now:
Please keep a copy for yourself, and submit the original completed documents to: Student Vetting, P2-04, Plassey House, University of Limerick, Limerick.
UL will then process your Vetting Invitation through the National Vetting Bureau who will send you an email link to complete the full Vetting Application Form online. Full details of any convictions or criminal prosecutions (past or pending) must be included. It is imperative that no false information is furnished. Failure to do so may result in you not being allowed to undertake your practice placement. This online application should be completed immediately.
Where issues arise around clearance, you will be contacted by either the National Vetting Bureau or the UL Liaison Person.
When you have been vetted, your Course Director will be informed.
Please note that you cannot commence your placement until you have complied with the UL Student Vetting requirements and been vetted.
