The Research Cluster currently draws on members from areas as diverse as Sociology, Psychology, English, Business, Politics, Education, Music, Applied Languages, Medicine, Occupational Therapy, History, Computers, and Law and aims to examine the impact of emotions in society through cross-disciplinary analysis of the area.

The Cluster has links with academics in both national and international institutions including Yale University, Queen's University Belfast, University of Edinburgh, Dublin City University, and Dublin Institute of Technology, as well as having created links with external associations (most notably the International Institute for Hate Studies, at Gonzaga University, WA).
