Graduate Entry Law

Programme Overview

The LLB (Graduate Entry) is a two-year, full-time programme (level 8, NQAI) that provides a legal education for graduates in disciplines other than law. It is designed to cater for the requirements of the graduate who wishes to add a law degree to his or her undergraduate training. The programme is ideal for non-law graduates who wish to enter the legal profession or for whom a legal qualification would enhance their career prospects. Law graduates from civil law jurisdictions will find that the programme provides a thorough foundation in the common law

Application Procedure

Applications to the Graduate Entry into Law programme must make a DIRECT application to the University. Candidates must complete a direct application form in accordance with the instructions for completion. Applicants should note that there is an application fee payable.

Entrance Requirements

Primary degree or equivalent in a discipline other than law (Primary Degree: Level 8 NQAI). Places are generally offered to students with a minimum of a 2.2 (2nd class honours grade 2) undergraduate degree, however entry is competitive and depending on the number of applications a higher grade 2.1 (2nd class honours grade1) in the undergraduate degree may be required to secure a place.

1st June 2020.
